Day 22 - A picture of something you wish you were better at

I've made my peace with my non existent math skills. I had to pass it in high school to get into university, and I did... barely. But I don't need it anymore, that's what my trusty calculator is for. And when I say I can't draw, I'm not just being modest. My drawing skills stopped "developing" when I was in grade 4. I still draw the exact same way I did when I was 10. Oh well, nothing I can do about that, I don't think it's something you can learn. I can color in the lines though, does that count?

Now I'm getting to things that I can actually work on to be better. I'm horrible at remembering people's names. I know many people have this problem, so you will know how awkward it is when you run into someone and they know your name and you don't remember theirs! Ah! So I checked online and there are actually a lot of tricks on how to improve this. All I need to do is practice, and I can avoid the usual situation: "Hi, nice to see you again! This is my boyfriend, Daniel, and this is... uhm... this is...." and I wait for the person to introduce themselves. Awkward!

The most important thing that I wish I was better at, is saving money. The moment my salary gets transferred into my account, I start listing the things that I want to buy that month. It seems like there's always something I "need", and it's very hard for me to put money away. Why save money for "one day" when I can use it this weekend to buy that handbag that will make me very happy right now? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to money, I did read Rich Dad Poor Dad. Can I just blame my inability to save money on my math skills? Probably not. But I'm going to anyway.
