Top 10 Tuesday: Favorite Online Shopping Sites

I love to shop just as much as the next girl. Okay, maybe a little bit more... Living in Taiwan I have numerous options when it comes to shopping and stores, but sometimes I "need" something specific, and that's when I turn to the wonderful worldwide web.

International shipping costs can be a biatch, and that's why I love sites that offer free shipping, or shipping at a very low rate. Whether it's to buy or just to browse, these are my Top 10 favorite online shopping websites:

Products: Hair, body, makeup, fragrance
Shipping: Free international shipping
feelunique.com is my favorite site for ordering hair and beauty products. I've only had good experiences with them, and every time I've ordered from this website, my products arrived in Taiwan within 10 work days.

Shopbop

Products: Clothing, shoes, bags, accessories
Shipping: Free international shipping

Shopbop.com is my ultimate weakness. They offer a great selection of items from well-known international designers, and they often have sales.

Amazon

Products: books, DVDs, electronics, clothing, accessories, beauty, basically anything
Shipping: International shipping at an affordable rate

I'm sure you are no stranger to Amazon.com Here you can find basically anything from books and DVDs to clothing and accessories and beauty products; at reasonable prices.

Cosme-De

Products: Hair, body, makeup, fragrance
Shipping: Free international shipping

Cosme-de.com is also a fantastic site for makeup, hair and body products from well-known brands. I've also received my orders within 10 working days in Taiwan.

Revolve Clothing

Products: Clothing, shoes, bags, accessories
Shipping: Free international shipping

REVOLVEclothing.com is very similar to Shopbop, but they have a bigger selection of jeans.

The Book Depository

Products: books, audio books
Shipping: Free international shipping

I only recently discovered BookDepository.com and I'm in love with this site! You can basically find any book  at a very good price, and they ship anywhere in the world for free. I haven't used this site yet, but I've only read good things about it online and will definitely be ordering all my summer reads here.

Lookfantastic

Products: Hair, body, makeup, fragrance
Shipping: Free international shipping

lookfantastic.com is very similar to Feelunique. So whatever I want that I can't find on Feelunique, I'll usually find here. Definitely a site worth checking out.

Asos

Products: Clothing, shoes, bags, accessories
Shipping: Free international shipping

I'm not going to confess to how many hours I've actually spent browsing this site, because you might think I'm crazy. Asos.com has a big selection of clothing, shoes, bags and accessories. If you get sucked into this website for hours, don't say I didn't warn you...

Lulus

Products: Clothing, shoes, bags, accessories
Shipping: International shipping at a $45 flat rate

I've never ordered anything from Lulus.com, but it's one of my favorite sites to browse. Personally I don't think the shipping rate is that much, but it might be more worth it if you order a bunch of stuff at a time, or order together with a friend.

Products: Clothing, shoes, bags, accessories
Shipping: International shipping

Net-a-porter.com is strictly a browsing site for me. I've wanted to order stuff here numerous times, but I'm a little hesitant because I'm not sure about the shipping costs. I have a feeling this is one of those sites that will slap you with extra costs for taxes and duties.
What has your experiences been with these online shopping sites? Also, if you know of any great sites that offer free international shipping, please share it with the rest of us shopaholics.

  3. I think the only one I've heard of is Amazon. :P I like to try on clothes, though, so I don't normally buy clothes and whatnot online - but my stepmother is pretty good at doing so. :P

    Thanks for sharing! ^^

  7. I like shopping on Amazon too, but I like shopping in the mall better, because I live near the King of Prussia mall in Philadelphia, and that place has EVERYTHING.
Just wondering... how many hours ahead is Taipei from the New York time zone?

    1. That mall in Philadelphia sounds awesome! :-D Taipei is about 12 or 13 hours ahead of New York, it's pretty crazy!

  8. Liesl - Great that you're encouraging your readers to visit a bunch of the stores that offer free international shipping. The more people who take advantage of the free shipping, hopefully the more retailers will offer it. It'll be the point of difference between one retailer and another soon enough. Fingers crossed. It's a massively hot topic at the moment. We run a blog that features ONLY retailers that offer free international shipping (we've got all of these and LOADs more) as well as a Facebook page with over 7,500 fans. We all must like the free shipping deals!! ;) Thanks for sharing.

    1. I like Modcloth as well! I haven't ordered anything from Forever21 online, because I think the shipping might be excessive to Taiwan. But for everyone in the States, it's probably awesome.

  16. Dulceboutique also ships any $50 purchase for free too. Sometimes during sales every purchase is shipped free.

  17. My favorite is klury.com ! Authentic luxury clothing and handbags and amazing prices!

  18. Also check out 10 dollar mall. I like to look. But it's hard for me to buy clothes online (and in store) because of my height. I'm tall (almost 6 feet!) And thin. Makes finding cute clothing that fits properly at reasonable prices almost impossible.

  19. There are some great choices here, and a few I hadn't heard of. Though I would love to add another to your list, and that's www.DoGoodBuyUs.com. It features 100's of brands that give back.

It's become my favorite site to shop!
