15 years ago, this would have been a no brainer. I was a Spice Girls fanatic! I had the CDs, the movie, the perfume, the posters, the dance moves, and unfortunately, the shoes. Laugh all you want, but I like to think that that’s when I learned about “girl power” and being an independent woman. Since then, I’ve never had a favorite artist or band again.
I have a wide selection of music on my iPod, which ranges from classical to alternative rock. I believe there’s a time and a place for all genres. But I do have a fondness of commercial pop and hip hop. The Boyfriend always laughs at me because I listen to the latest Top 10 on the Billboard Chart. Well, sorry I’m not cool enough because I don’t listen to bands that no one has ever heard of.
Really, I can’t think of only one favorite artist or band. So, to solve this problem, I turned to my iPod’s “Top 25 Most Played” songs to see what I listen to a lot. I know this is probably going to be utterly humiliating, and please keep in mind that I mostly listen to music while working out. So here are the top 10 most played songs on my iPod at the moment:
10. LMFAO – I’m in Miami trick
9. Lil Wayne ft Nicki Minaj – Knockout
8. Chris Brown – I can transform ya
7. Enrique Iglesias ft Pitbull – I like it
6. Lady Gaga – Born this way
5. Britney Spears – Hold it against me
4. Black Eyed Peas – The time (Dirty Bit)
3. Kesha – Blow
2. Rihanna ft Britney Spears – S&M
1. Katy Perry – Firework
Not too bad, I think. Obviously, this is my workout jam. And before you judge me, how about you check out your “Top 25 Most Played” playlist on your iPod? You might be surprised and/or embarrassed.
