Day 43 - A picture of something you can't function without

A month ago I would've probably posted a picture of my iPhone for this one. That's when I still thought I couldn't function without it. But, then having to be without a phone for a week because it got stolen, I realized that it's not actually the worst thing in the world, and that I can, in fact, function without it. Sure, it makes life a teensy tiny bit harder without it, but it's not impossible.

Now, the one thing I really can't function without is a computer. I need one for work, to keep in touch with my family, to find information, to keep up with the latest news and to post on my blog. Even when I'm on vacation I'll try to find a computer at least every three days just to check what's up with the world.

I'm curious, what's something you can't function without? And have you ever, like me, been forced to be without your phone for a week? How did you handle that?

  1. I would have to say the internet. Yes, my life was much less stressful without it. But then again that was the early 90's for me and I was merely a child. Plus it wasn't as amazing as it is now. Of course, I wouldn't be able to function without every other electronic I own. :/ Not sure how I functioned as a child. XD

  2. I would have to agree with you...a computer! Or, moreso, the internet in general. I usually neglect my phone. If someone tries to call and leaves me a voicemail, I get an email through Google Voice haha. If I don't have the computer for whatever reason, then definitely having the internet on my phone is a must.

  4. My iphone got stolen last year, and I had to go back to a crappy old one for a few weeks until it got replaced (thank God for insurance!) - but I agree, I would have been much worse off without my computer.

  5. Ever since I got an IPhone there is just no way in hell you can find me without it...buried in it...probably ignoring the world. My boyfriend challenged me to go a day without it, I was almost panicking because I just NEEDED to check my twitter or facebook or e-mail. That is when we established I had a problem, which is fine by me.
