A Dash of Detail

After traveling in Europe for three weeks I'm back in Taipei, rested and ready to get back in the swing of things. If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that we had a jam-packed Eurotrip, and if you were wondering if I'd be writing about our travels, the answer is YES, of course! And it will be up on the blog, soon.

Today I wanted to share with you a cute outfit idea I had for Autumn, which is slowly but surely creeping up on us. (Although here in Taiwan we'll probably just go straight from a very humid Summer to a cool Winter some time around November).

I've been absolutely obsessed with these lace-up flats, and I've been having a lot of fun creating different outfits to wear it with. I saw these pretty black shorts on SheIn, and fell in love with the lacy detail. For this look I just added an oversized sweater, my beloved Daniel Wellington watch, and voila! Let me know what you think.

  2. These shorts are so cute and I am really tempted to purchase them, but one-size-fits-all scares me. Are you happy with the fit and think they would work for a size 0? Thanks!

    1. I know what you mean! I usually wear a US size 0 or 2 for shorts and size 24 or 25 in jeans. And it fits comfortably loose on me. The waist is stretchy, so I think it will look good on anyone up to size 4 or maybe even 6. Best thing is, it's so affordable, so even if it's not perfect, you didn't spend an arm and a leg on it, and you can give it to a friend. I hope this helps!

  3. Glad to hear you had a great fun filled European vacation. I'm so jealous.

LOVE your outfit and those lace up flats. This lace up flats is a trend that has caught my eye as well. I've been looking at several different designers but the Topshop ones look to be the most appealing to me. I've only ever seen them in suede but I love your leather ones.

    Hope you are well.

    1. It's so nice to hear from you again, Brian! I've been drooling over these flats for so long and I was so happy that I came across the more affordable Topshop ones. You can definitely still find the leather ones on their website! The suede ones are beautiful, too though. Let me know if you decide to get them and have a fantastic week!
